I came across a CRAZY lady's blog the other day that really upset me. Not only is she antisemitic, but also loathes gays, "colored" people, and abortionists. We all have the right to our own opinions, I suppose. However, my question is; Why do people care? Why would anybody care what one did to themselves or what religion they believe in? Don't believe in abortion? Fine. But, why try to stop other people from doing it? A Catholic, are you? Fine. But, don't hate on the Jews. Don't like the Gays? Fine. But, don't commit your life to making sure they cannot have the same privileges that straight people do. Why do you care? Why do people consume themselves with what other people do in their daily lives?
This just reminds me of a few months back when Kevin and I were walking around downtown. It was a super busy day and loads of people packed the streets. Some crazy was on a pedestal and was ranting and raving about how great Jesus is/was. Fine. But, then decided to scream negative comments to two girls holding hands down the street. Telling them they wouldn't be allowed to enter the kingdom of heaven if they were lesbians. Mind you, these girls were maybe 17 and were clearly just very close friends and still in high school. Even if they were lesbians, why say anything? I think of what my mom would say to me constantly as a child. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Amen.
