Book Report
I have read the best books in the last couple weeks, and I just have to share about them. First off, the famous "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. What an incredible book! All I can say, is that the 800 or so pages is totally worth it. I loved it so much, that when I was finished I went to Borders to get the follow up, "World Without End". However, it was totally sold out. So, I picked up the next book, "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" by Kim Edwards. This book follows a family as they lead their lives with secrets, lies, and the drama that ensues because of it. I strongly recommend this book. Then, 3 days ago, my mom sent me "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. I saw the movie that was made about his other book "The Kite Runner" and wished I would have read the book before seeing the movie. However, my mom said to read this one of his. So, I can safely say that I only put this book down a handful of times. I loved it. The novel explores the lives of two Afghan women, tells the stories of their hardships and joys. What an amazing novel. Please go out and get this book!!!

Boot Season
It's almost time!!! My favorite time of the year is just around the corner. I cannot wait for all the best boots to fly into the store in the next few weeks. This is the season that will get me into trouble. I have been waiting for all of these shoes and boots since January when I went to the shows to order the product. Corso Como, Faryl Robin, Jeffrey Campbell, oh it's gonna be a good fall for me.
Radiohead
They are coming to Seattle August 20th and I do not, at the moment, have tickets. This is a hard reality for me to face. So, I am making it my mission to get tickets to this show this week. I'm hoping that somebody will be desperate to get rid of the tickets now that the show is just around the corner. I wish spending $300 a ticket was an option for me, but alas, it is not. I remember spending way too much on concert tickets when I was younger. However, these were the days before rent and bills. So, keep your fingers crossed for Kev and I.
Guilty as Charged
Alright so, I'm not gonna lie, I watch "So You Think You Can Dance". I am guilty. And, you know what? I like it. The group of dancers this year were fabulous. I have attached the clip below from one of the dances that I loved. I guess it's good that real T.V. is coming back soon, and of course, football season. I need to get away from reality T.V. for a little bit.
